Could we, the USA, learn something from our loonie neighbors to the north? Did you know that in Canada, they don't have Mortgage Interest Deductions on their personal residences? Does this mean that they don't have a Mortgage Interest Deduction? Nope, not at all! In fact, they only offer it to property owners of investment properties.
